The above pen is one we made in 1986 . Things have changed so much now
and people are building aviaries and buying large indoor pens. The following pens/sheds and indoor pens belong to our members to give you an idea of how much space they will need. |
|
The shed and aviary on the left is around 12ft x 6ft so that's 12ft x 12ft all together. On the right are the pens inside the shed that are great if you have several groups of
ferrets . They can be housed separately and come out every day for their playtime. The aviary can be filled with toys such as ball pits and tubes. The pens in the shed of course would have bedding and hammocks for the ferrets comfort. Blankets can be washed once a week to keep them fresh. Shredded paper can be put in the rest of the pen . A litter tray can be added too. |
|
This double storey Ferret Nation pen is 62 inches tall- 3ft wide - 2ft deep. This will house 4
ferrets comfortably and can be put in any corner of the room. There is a storage shelf underneath for spare blankets etc. |
|
ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOUR OUTSIDE PENS ARE SITUATED OUT OF THE SUN IN THE SUMMER - REMEMBER HEAT CAN KILL.
YOU WILL NEED TO GET HAMMOCKS - BLANKETS - SHREDDED PAPER - HEAVY DOG BOWLS FOR WATER AND FOOD - PLUS LOTS OF TUBES AND
TOYS. |
